Choose your level  for Workshops and Competitions

 with our cookie types as your guide.

​Cookie Dough*   (Level 0 - Getting to Level 1) 
These dancers have a solid foundation in all 4 basics in their primary role with a few variations.  In their secondary role they have a beginning ability to dance all 4 basics.  They can also dance all 4 basics solo in both roles.  They may have little or no experience with switch or steal.  We recommend our Secondary Role Boot Camps to get ready for participating fully in our social dances.

 

Sugar Cookies  (Level 1 - Basic)
These dancers are already able to both follow and lead safely and comfortably in all 4 basics.. They have some previous experience with switch: possibly with steal.  They will need these abilities to keep up with Level 1 workshops, compete at Level 1, and participate fully during our social dances.

Chocolate Chip Cookies  (Level 2 - Intermediate)
These dancers are already able to both follow and lead in all 4 basics smoothly with a number of variations in each. They have some solid abilities with switch, and steal.  They will need these abilities to keep up with Level 2 workshops and compete at Level 2.

Snickerdoodles  (Level 3 - Advanced)     
These dancers are proficient in both lead and follow roles and have strong skills in switch and steal.  They have been taking WCS lessons and workshops for several years and probably compete in both roles.​ They will need strong switch and steal skills to compete at Level 3 and keep up in our Level 3 workshops.

 

All Stars and Pros who compete at their level in switch and steal competitions are

considered 3+ for our comps.  Snickerdoodles+!

No one will be excluded from being   "Cookie Dough". 

If they do not meet a level, we ask them to pair up with someone and do not rotate. 

If unable to keep up they can choose to step out of the lesson and observe,

Our secondary role intensives will help with all 4 basics.
